jeremiah yarmie is science writer from winnipeg, manitoba.
he has a bsc in genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology from the university of manitoba. while there he did some research on muscle fibres, neural stem cells, and Legionella pneumophila. he also wrote about science for the campus newspaper a lot.
he’s currently a master’s student at laurentian university’s science communication program. when he isn’t in the academy he is trying to love the environment more, growing out of the ‘baby’ phase of his cello hobby, writing poetry, dreaming of being an illustrator despite never practicing drawing, keeping up with his french on duolingo, and working on audio-video stuff that will be good for his career.
he has experience in journalism, communications and new media, grassroots organizing, academia, student politics, the not-for-profit sector, and being a nerd.
